Made from a blend of recycled plastics, Dutch startup Plasticiet creates curated plastic sheets for use in furniture and interior applications.

Inspired by and mimicking stone composites like terrazzo, Plasticiet uses plastics from local recyclers to produce their stock sheets.

After two years of development, Marten van Middelkoop and Jost Dingemans launched Plasticiet in Rotterdam in 2018. They aim to process large volumes of plastic waste, transforming it into a sustainable material.

With a visual language inspired by the primal beauty of natural stone, they create building blocks that can be used for a wide range of applications.

While currently working on creating larger sizes of stock sheets, the founders have used abstract furniture projects to showcase Plasticiet’s characteristics and structural ability.
